Hello Kitty headband.

Went to target couple of weeks ago and browse into the Halloween section just to look at the fun costumes and gather some ideas. BAM I saw a hello kitty costume, and to tell yall I am not a hello kitty fan! So seeing this hello kitty costume I think to myself how freaking ridiculousness! why? cause its like 40 bucks for a shirt that has a picture of hello kitty and hello kitty head band and a pink skirt..... can you say ripoff!?
heres an image of it....
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOI tsk tsk. To those who want to dress cutsie and be hello kitty I suggest you do not waste your money on this costume! BUT what will you do?oh hohohooh have no fear I am here!
So I made a hello kitty headband around May for my friend so she can look cutsie for FANMIE! hehehe
So this is a perfect opportunity to blog about it!
However I truly apologies for not having step by step pictures so bare with my words...

What you need is: 2 white felt fabric, 1 red felt fabric, hot glue gun, cotton and a cheap headband
1st cover the head band around with the white felt fabric and hot glue gun it. glue gun it on the bottom of the head band so it will look nice and smooth on the top part of the head band. Also this will cover the ugly glue part since your going to wear it.
2. On a piece of paper draw a triangle for the ears part. NOTE make your triangle edge a bit round (will explained why later) and cut out the shape.
3. trace the triangle shape on to the white felt fabric( trace 4) and cute it out
4.take 2 of the triangle shape and sew or hot glue them together, leaving one side on the triangle not glued so you can turn it inside out then you can stuff cotton in to make the ears poofy. (This is why you wanted to make a bit of a round edge to the triangle. Cause once you stuff them it wont look pointy but more of a nice roundness to it.) Once it is stuff with cotton glue the unglue side together.
5. Once you have your two ears done glue it on the head band. ( I suggest you wear the head band and take the two ears and figure where they look best mark the place then glue it on.)
6.the bow. Now there should be 4 piece when you cut out the bow the bow its self, the circle in the middle and the two oval shape side the. You would want to draw a bow on the paper first cute it out and trace it on the red felt.
once done glue the pieces together. And if you want trace over the bow with fed 3d glue to make it noticeable. or sew around it with a different shad of red thread.
7. Take the bow and glue it to the ear and your done!
If you guys don't get any part of the instruction just comment on the part you don't get and ill try to explain more in detail.

All you need to do now is wear a top that has hellokitty on it and spazzzzz with hellokitty jewlery and what not!

Here is a picture of me and my friends at fanime..
she Hello Kitty it up with her cute hellokitty bag.
Yes yes i but the bow on the wrong side of the ear... should of been on the left side. but don't blame meee im not a hello kitty fannn.:( lol
Happy sewing!
